Siim’s clothes are distinguished by their construction and finish. Her inspirations are drawn simultaneously from the many cultures which have contributed to Caribbean history, as well as her travels in the Far East. These inspirations have been combined through her training as an architect into garments whose very construction is part of their attraction.
The materials used are 100% Linens, Silks and pure cottons. Other materials include antique trim, Indian Saris and some composite fabrics with intricate beading etc. All materials are chosen because of their intrinsic luxury.
The designs are composed of simple, geometric, body-flattering lines, however construction methods are more complex so as to maintain an almost seamless finish, even in the simplest garments. Precision in construction is therefore very important.
