The Higher Intelligence Agency Limited was incorporated in 1999 to provide a registered corporate entity in Jamaica to facilitate a consultation contract with a New York based firm. Under the terms of this contract, our CEO and Senior Designer (Michelle Simone Clarke ) was to provide eight months of consultation services in setting up a CAD based office system for a small Construction and Expediting firm. The sole assets of the Higher Intelligence Agency Limited at this point were the intellectual property of Ms. Clarke.
At the end of the New York contract, Ms. Clarke returned to Jamaica to offer comprehensive design services to a wide range of clients. Since then, the company has provided Architectural and Graphic design services to a number of small and large companies including Jamaica Producers Group and National Outdoor Advertising and to some individuals as well.
In November 2001, The Higher intelligence Agency participated in the first annual Caribbean Fashion Week, sponsoring the SIIM label (designs by Michelle Simone Clarke, aka Siim), and later sponsored a solo show by Siim held at the Guilt Trip Restaurant (November 24, 2001). It is based on the response from these two shows that HIA has undertaken to sponsor Siim and the Siim Label.
Research is underway into the most beneficial and practical means of incorporating the Siim label into The Higher Intelligence Agency Limited, whether as a Division or as a Subsidiary.
While the company still has no significant physical assets, Ms. Clarke’s extensive travels, design expertise and intellectual property constitute considerable equity.
